Cairo Comix Festival takes over Tahrir this November

Comic book lovers, assemble. Cairo Comix Festival returns this year to the Mahmoud Mokhtar Cultural Center in Tahrir Square for a three-day run from Friday, 13 November to Sunday, 15 November. The book convention brings together artists, illustrators, publishers, and comic enthusiasts for a program of exhibitions, meet-ups, workshops, and Comic Souk for buying and selling.

Indie Square will also give independent artists a space to showcase and sell their work. The festival is also hosting the Mahmoud Kahil Award ceremony, one of the Arab world’s most prominent comics prizes. The event runs daily from 12pm to 8pm, and entry is at no charge.
