Tatweer Misr CEO Ahmed Shalaby to chair newly formed General Committee for Real Estate Development

Tatweer Misr CEO Ahmed Shalaby (LinkedIn) will chair the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce’s newly formed General Committee for Real Estate Development, according to a federation statement. Shalaby will lead the committee until elections are held, with a mandate to represent developers and their counterparties and coordinate with state agencies on sector policies and challenges.

A real estate and urban planning veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Shalaby co-founded Tatweer Misr and has served as its president and CEO since 2014. He also chairs the House of Representatives Housing Committee and is a professor of architecture and urban development at Cairo University, having previously taught city planning at Cornell University in New York.
