What the markets are doing on 4 October 2026

The EGX30 rose 1.6% at today’s close on turnover of EGP 10.3 bn (10.6% below the 90-day average). Local investors were the sole net buyers. The index is up 28.9% YTD.

In the green: Misr Cement (+15.9%), Telecom Egypt (+8.2%), and EFG Holding (+7.4%).

In the red: Palm Hills Developments (-1.7%), AMOC (-1.1%), and Qalaa Holdings (-1.0%).
