Le Classique headlines major European league fixtures tonight

The Nile League takes a backseat today as Europe’s top leagues take the spotlight on a busy Sunday on the pitches.

In the Premier League, Manchester City host Sunderland off the back of six straight victories across all competitions. Kick-off is at 4pm, live on beIN Sports 4.

Meanwhile, Liverpool head to Bournemouth for a reunion as Andoni Iraola returns to the club he guided to a European finish before taking over at Anfield. Liverpool remain unbeaten this season, while Bournemouth are still searching for a triumph after drawing three of their four league games. Kick-off is at 4pm on beIN Sports 2.

  • Leeds United vs. Crystal Palace — 4pm, beIN Sports 5;

In England, Manchester City eased into the Carabao Cup’s last 16 on Thursday with a 5-0 thrashing of Norwich City, and Brentford stunned Chelsea 3-0 to end the Blues’ unbeaten start.

In the Super Saturday slate: Aston Villa beat Tottenham 3-2, Brighton thrashed Arsenal 3-0, and Coventry claimed their first top-flight points in 25 years with a 1-0 result at Nottingham Forest.

Elsewhere in Europe over the weekend: In Spain, Barcelona beat Sevilla 3-1 behind a Raphinha hat-trick, his second hat-trick in a row. The victory moved Barcelona up to 21 points, leading La Liga standings. In Germany, Bayern Munich ran riot with a 7-0 demolition of Union Berlin, with a Michael Olise hat-trick and two goals by England’s Harry Kane, who broke the record for the fastest player to reach 100 goals in the Bundesliga.

AND- In a weekend full of hat-tricks, Mo Salah delivered his own as well. The Egyptian football star scored three goals yesterday in the Turkish Süper Lig face-off between Trabzonspor and Galatasaray, which ended 4-0 in favor of Salah’s band.
