It was another quiet night on the airwaves, with the few talk shows on the air focusing on the power cuts that continued throughout yesterday, despite Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly saying that the government will be halting rolling blackouts until mid-September.

It’s not load shedding, says Electricity Ministry spokesperson: “It’s possible there were some malfunctions or increased pressure on the electricity grid due to the continued heatwave, which may have led to power cuts,” Electricity Ministry spokesman Ayman Hamza told Ala Masouleety’s Ahmed Moussa (watch, runtime: 22:37).
