Life during the pandemic in Fourteen Days. In this collaborative novel, featuring contributions from 36 American and Canadian authors, the novel weaves together a diverse tapestry of stories within a frame narrative set in an NYC tenement during the March 2020 lockdown.

Spanning 14 chapters from March 31 to April 13, 2020, the narrative unfolds within the Fernsby Arms, a dilapidated tenement on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. As the pandemic ensnares the city, residents find themselves bound by their shared circumstances. Gathering on the rooftop to honor healthcare workers with clanging pots, they embark on nightly storytelling sessions.

The landlord, dubbed ‘1A’ curates these tales, adding them to a binder filled with quirky descriptions of tenants penned by her predecessor. From jokes to horror, nonfiction to romance, the stories encompass a wide spectrum.
