A fast food home run at Hameed. The name might be ambiguous to what they might serve but Hameed is a fast food joint that is quickly gaining a reputation as a top-notch competitor to household fast food chains. Located in Sixthof October, New Cairo, and Madinaty Hameed offers a menu packed with familiar favorites and some unique twists, delivering a dining experience that rivals, and in many ways, surpasses the fast food giants.

Juicy burgers and crispy loaded fries. We wanted to try out something new and something old and true — so we went for the Truffle Mushroom burger, Chili Butter Glazed Chicken Burger, and Classic Chicken Burger.

The beef burger was on point. The patty was grilled, juicy and the truffle aioli was overflowing — literally — where you can actually taste the truffle. There were occasional bites where the meat spices overpowered but it never took away from the overall taste. As for the chili butter glazed chicken, we were hoping for an Asian twist. Even though it was spicy, it really didn’t stand out. Butter enthusiasts might be keen, but that’s about it.

The Classic Chicken burger is a must-have. The chicken’s breading is flavorful, and crunchy, while not drying out the chicken. Garnished with lettuce, mayo, and pickles we dare say we may have a contender for a certain chicken burger at a fast-food joint starting with the letter ‘M’.

We can’t stop eating their fries — they are fresh and crunchy in all the right places. If you fancy something more with your golden goodness, try the Loaded Fries, topped with melted cheese, crispy bacon bits, and a drizzle of ranch or spicy sauce. They are a perfect accompaniment to any meal and are a treat on their own.

PRO TIP- Hameed also offers an Egyptian-Western breakfast menu featuring items like falafel roll, eggs and pastrami burger, smashed burger scramble wrap, and bacon grilled cheese toast.
