The Olympic Committee gives each city hosting the competitions the right to recommend the inclusion of several games on an exceptional basis, which the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee took advantage of to propose squash, cricket, flag football, lacrosse, and baseball/softball. With squash joining the Olympic club paves the way for Egypt to achieve more Olympic medals given its dominance on the world stage.
