The Customs Authority has reversed a decision that required independent licensed clearance agents’ work to obtain copies of a document with record of their work only from Cairo and Alexandria, and is now allowing them to obtain this document from all ports across the country again, according to a letter carried by Al Mal. The reversal came after a complaint from a Port Said-based agent, who found it harder to have records at hand whenever they were needed for tax and official purposes.
