The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said that it is considering providing Acwa Power with USD 54 mn to help build and develop a 200 MW solar power plant in Kom Ombo, according to a statementon Friday. The loan would comprise USD 40 mn in senior debt financing and an equity bridge loan of USD 14 mn. The loan is slated for approval on 30 September. The project would be one of the largest privately-developed solar plant projects in Egypt.
