Egypt is tied with Saudi Arabia for having the world’s third-highest number of jailed journalists, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists’ (CPJ) latest survey. Both Egypt and Saudi Arabia currently hold 26 reporters behind bars, compared to 48 in China and 47 in Turkey.
