The Industrial Development Authority (IDA) decided yesterday to give factories in industrial zones a penalty-free extension until 31 December to get their permits and industrial registration paperwork in order. The extension applies to both idle and working factories and grants the latter an exemption from having to submit proof of intent when applying for permits.
