Cairo and Moscow agreed to work on strengthening military ties last week, during meetings between Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki and his Russian counterpart Sergei Ivanov, according to an Armed Forces statement. Zaki returned from Moscow after a two-day visit, where he also met with UAE Defense Minister Ahmed Al Bowardi, as well as the head of Belarusia’s head of military industries to discuss a number of issues of mutual interest.
