INVESTMENT WATCH- Saudi’s Atraba says it wants to invest USD 1 bn in Egypt medical city: Saudi Arabia’s Atraba Integrated Holding is mulling an investment of as much as USD 1 bn to build a new medical city in Egypt, Chairman Fawaz Bashraheel tells Amwal Al Ghad in an interview. The company is looking to partner with local players on the project. Bashraheel refused to disclose more details, saying that an official announcement would be made soon. The government has positioned its passage of the Universal Healthcare Act earlier this year as helping drum up interest in the nation’s health care sector. Among the Saudi entrants to the field are Saudi German Hospital, with a USD 500 mn project in Alexandria, and Spine Medical’s planned investment in the new capital.
