INVESTMENT WATCH- Mena Health Partners to invest EGP 3 bn in four hospitals: Mena Health Partners plans to invest EGP 3 bn over the coming three years in its portfolio of four hospitals, said the company’s co-founder and CEO, Ayman Badr. The firm holds majority stakes in Katameya Specialized Hospital, Katameya Clinic, Welcare Hospital and October International Hospital, with a combined capacity of 355 beds. The company is spending EGP 500 mn this year to launch the 85-bed Katameya Clinic in July of this year, Badr told Al Mal on Sunday. Mena wants to grow its roster of hospitals to 15 by 2020 through acquisitions, he said, adding that the company would much rather expand through M&As rather than greenfield projects. Saudi investors hold about 25% of Mena Health Partners’ shares, Badr said.
