This artefact was among those found the complex of ancient building recently unearthed by Greek archaeologist Kalliopi Papakostas in the Shallalat Gardens area in Alexandria, where excavations began 21 years ago. “The new discovery is a carved tunnel at a depth of 10 meters,” Philip Chrysopoulos writes for GreekReporter.com.
