EnterpriseAM Forum Playback

Greetings wonderful people, and welcome to our second installment of Forum Playback where we bring you highlights from our 2026 EnterpriseAM Forum, the AI Edition. Forum Playback allows you to listen to the Forum panels on our podcast channel and read summaries of the discussions that took place on our stage.

Today, to coincide with the landmark MNT-Halan IPO, we are featuring our discussion with Mounir Nakhla, the company’s founder and CEO. He agreed to give his first in-person interview at the EnterpriseAM Forum, just days after MNT went public with an intention-to-float 320 mn shares, equivalent to a 20% stake, in a secondary offering, open to both institutional and retail investors.

In the two weeks that ensued, MNT’s private placement closed 11.2x oversubscribed, with foreign institutions taking most of the book and more than 300 investors bidding from across the GCC, the UK, France, Switzerland, South Africa, and Egypt. Its retail tranche closed 43.6x covered on the final day before it’s shares started trading this morning on the EGX.

MNT-Halan is just the beginning. It’s shaping up to be an exciting quarter for the EGX with the long-awaited BdC IPO up next. Just a few days in and we are already seeing strong foreign demand for BdC shares. Before the end of the year we could also see the sale of a 20% stake in Misr Life Insurance. On the sidelines of the Forum we caught up with capital markets lawyer Anwar Zeidan to talk about Egypt’s IPO pipeline and the shift towards public listings.
