What the markets are doing on 26 August 2026

The EGX30 fell 0.3% at today’s close on turnover of EGP 11.4 bn (3.5% above the 90-day average). Local investors were the sole net buyers. The index is up 31.7% YTD.

In the green: Heliopolis Housing (+4.2%), Egypt Aluminum (+3.5%), and Orascom Construction (+2.9%).

In the red: Misr Cement (-2.7%), Arabian Cement (-1.8%), and Oriental Weavers (-1.6%).
