Zambia’s Copper Queens opened their 2026 campaign with a 6-0 demolition of Egypt at the Rabat Olympic Stadium — a result that was… hard to watch, to say the least. In the evening’s other Group C match, Malawi beat defending Champions Nigeria 3-2 — the first time a debuting team beat the defending champions.

Egypt is now at the bottom of the Group C rankings with zero points to show. The Cleopatras face Malawi on Saturday, 1 August, and need to beat them to have any hopes of advancing to the quarter-finals. Egypt vs. Malawi will be broadcast on beIN Sports 6 at 8pm.
