? When it comes to breakfast in Egypt, there is never a shortage of options. One can go the traditional route with a hearty ful sandwich, whip up a muesli bowl, or enjoy a flaky croissant. Yet sometimes, a break from routine might prove necessary, and when that’s the case, we would recommend not looking any further than Buffalo Burger.
First things first, what’s on the menu? Buffalo’s breakfast is reminiscent of one offered by a certain couple of golden arches, and we would argue that it surpasses it. It’s a simple, limited menu, featuring scrambled egg English muffin sandwiches with options of burger, chicken, and mushroom fillings, a turkey egg tortilla, and golden-friend hashbrowns. You can also pair your breakfast with Buffalo’s signature sauces.
We didn’t have to make a choice — we simply ordered everything. Like any seasoned breakfaster, we started off with the hashbrowns. Crispy on the outside and incredibly tender on the inside, the hashbrowns earned a perfect score. The best part? The generous portions. The turkey egg tortilla was the weakest link. It wasn’t subpar by any means, but it pales in comparison to the English muffin sandwiches.
The muffins reign supreme. Filling, flavorful, and just the right size, all the English muffin sammies on the menu are worth your time. The scrambled eggs and burger muffin, along with the plain scrambled eggs English muffin sandwiches, are top contenders, both covered in melted Parmesan cheese. But the mushroom and chicken English muffin sandwich takes the cake. The fresh mushrooms, combined with the Parmesan and scrambled eggs, made for a well-rounded breakfast packed between two buns. The chicken offered a welcomed crunch and was less oily than you would expect.
Our verdict? Buffalo Burger’s breakfast menu checks all the boxes, and while it set a lovely tone for our morning, we wouldn’t recommend indulging in it every day, as it’s anything but light.
