The UEFA Nations League hits crunch time: The sixth and final matchday of the UEFA Nations League group stage continues tonight with nine games across all tiers, all scheduled for 9:45pm.

The spotlight is on the Group 1 match in League A between Croatia and Portugal. Cristiano Ronaldo’s squad has already clinched a quarterfinal spot, sitting comfortably at the top of the table with 13 points. Meanwhile, Luka Modrić and his teammates are in second with seven points and need at least a draw to secure qualification while fending off competition from Poland and Scotland, who both trail with four points. Poland vs. Scotland will have its own intensity, as it will decide who is directly relegated to League B as the bottom team and who survives to battle in the relegation playoffs against the League B runners-up.

In Group 4, we have Spain going head to head with Switzerland, with the Spanish team leading the group with 13 points. At the other end of the table, Switzerland trail at the bottom of the table with two points. The second qualifying spot will be decided in a high-stakes match between third-place Serbia, with five points, and second-placed Denmark, currently on seven points.

Moving down to the AFCON 2025 qualifiers: The final round of AFCON qualifiers got underway yesterday and continues today with eight more games this evening. Some are do-or-die; others are merely friendly.

In Group F, Sudan only needs a single point to secure qualification as they face already-through Angola at 6pm. Meanwhile, Libya faces a tougher challenge in Group D: They have to defeat Benin by at least four goals while also relying on Nigeria not to lose to Rwanda to secure progression.

Other key matches today:

  • Nigeria vs. Rwanda (6pm)
  • Tunisia vs. Gambia (9pm)
  • Morocco vs. Lesotho (9pm)
