Known for its menu that merges Asian snacks with a unique boba selection, the cafe serves up an impressive lineup that is far from your typical menu items.

Let’s talk about drinks. With around 50 boba flavors on the menu, East-T’s menu is like a playground for boba lovers. Each of their drinks is loaded with the classic tapioca boba for that signature chewy taste — with the option of changing it to either flavored popping boba, sago (smaller tapioca-like boba), or jelly.

We had an appetite for the tropical choices first, which put their bestseller, mango coconut fruit tea, at the top of our list. The creamy coconut flavor blended with the mango hit just the right level of sweetness, and earned its spot as bestseller. Our next pick was the pineapple passion fruit tea. While the fruit chunks were a bit too generous, they did add a natural and refreshing touch to the flavor.

For something nutty and indulging, the pistachio boba milk. It’s essentially a pistachio latte with boba, the pistachio flavor is distinct without being overpowering, making it a great choice if you’re looking for something less fruity and more dessert-like.

As for the food: You can pick any sauce to pair with either your fried wings or fried boneless chicken. Their Chinese spicy sauce packed a flavorful punch, which delivers a savory bold heat with just the right amount of spice. For those who want to push the heat even further, they’ve got an extra hot chicken option — inspired by the spicy buldak sauce — that will test your tolerance. Prefer something on the milder side? The honey mustard has the best tangy to sweetness ratio. The one similarity is that they both deliver the perfect crunch.

BONUS: Each fried chicken or wing order comes with a side of fried tteokbokki — chewy, crispy rice cakes that complement the chicken just right, the way a side of fries would.
