? EARS TO THE GROUND-
PJ Vogt is back with Search Engine: A podcast as random as our search history. After the successful Reply All podcast — which earned a 4.7 / 5 review by over 27k listeners on Apple Podcast — host PJ Vogt now hosts a show that answers “questions about the world,” according to his Instagram biography.
On his X profile, he added that there’s “no question too big, no question too small.” And true to his motto he is: Throughout the episodes, he provides answers to the interesting (can empty office spaces solve housing issues?), the trending (how did BTC come into existence?), and the straight out bizarre (what IS going on with Elon Musk?).
Keeping up with the times: One episode that particularly struck a chord addresses a question that often keeps us up at night: How do I find new music now that I’m old and irrelevant? No one likes to feel old, so we try to stop ourselves when we’re headed down the “you call this music?” road…
…swinging in to the rescue is author Kelefa Sanneh, who penned Major Labels: A Historyof Popular Music in Seven Genres. Along with Vogt, the pair discuss how we can easily discover new music when we need to spice up our playlists and change things up before, of course, we revert to the classic hits we love and cherish.
