?EAT THIS TONIGHT-

Berro’s Brasserie is a cozy, modern-retro European-themed restaurant at The Nox Mall in New Cairo. The menu offers a range of European and Mediterranean dishes with a twist and they serve an all-day menu, despite coming across as a cafe.

Their pasta was a hit. Their mushroom pasta was unusually topped with pistachio, which took us by surprise, but in a good way. We also ordered the 15-hour fries, which were crunchy and smooth, but on the oily side — although nothing a bit of dabbing with a napkin can’t fix.

We suggest not orderingthe corn ribs if you have sensitive teeth, or don’t like the taste of charcoal. You can try dipping it into the accompanying elote sauce, made of crumbled feta, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, cilantro, and powdered chili, but the flavor wasn’t for us.

The restaurant is versatile. You can go there for a candle-lit dinner date, or gather with friends and family for a filling meal.

NOTE- For those of us blessed with allergies, particularly gluten or lactose intolerance, your options are very limited. But good news for late-risers: Breakfast ends at 2:30pm.
