Arsenal hopes to push forward with its goal to nab the title and lock down a “statement win” over City, and establish itself as a full-fledged rival in the upcoming Premier League season, which kicks off in a few days. On the other hand, City enters the game to simply do what they do in every meeting — imposing more control over the domestic and European competitors.
