The women’s singles kicked off the quarter-final round yesterday, with Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina beating Italy’s Martina Trevisan 6-3, 6-0 to advance to the semi-finals. US national Jessica Pegula also advanced to the semi-final round after beating Russia’s Anastasia Potapova earlier today in a three-set match. Later this evening, Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus) meets Romania’s Sorana Cîrstea at 9pm in the championship’s penultimate quarter-final match.
