Abdelhalim Allam has been elected president of the Lawyers’ Syndicate after a landslide victory, Al Shoroukreported. Allam, who heads the syndicate’s branch in Alexandria, won the race with more than half of the 45.2k votes cast, results showed. Eighteen candidates have been vying for the position since March after President Ragai Attia passed away.
