An administrative court has postponed to 23 May its ruling on an appeal by steel rolling mills to overturn a government’s decision to place import tariffs on steel rebar and iron billets, reports Al Mal. The decision came after a state commissioner said in a hearing held yesterday that the steel produced by the mills using imported billets doesn’t meet the minimum requirement to be considered a domestic product, which weakens the mills’ position.
