The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has signed an MoU with Besixand Orascom Construction for a waste-to-energy project to supply cement factories in west Cairo, according to a Housing Ministry statement. The two companies will fund all the necessary studies while the authority would be in charge of supplying them with the raw material needed for the project.
