Egypt sees 36% y-o-y surge in tourists arrivals in February

Egypt welcomed 730k tourists in February 2018, marking a 36% y-o-y increase compared to the same period last year, according to Tourism Ministry data carried by Al Shorouk. Germany was our top inbound market with 115.5k arrivals in Egypt, followed by 87k from Ukraine and 35k from the UK. Group travel to EGypt was up 66.5% y-o-yin 2017 as Egyptian have found new cost competitiveness against other global competitors.
