A group of amputee footballers have put together a team they hope to one day grow into a country-wide league. The “Miracle Team,” which includes 25 members who train twice a week in Cairo, started out playing non-competitive, freestyle football. Their goal now is to expand the sport to other governorates in order to establish federation and league. Amputee Football has active federations in 42 countries and its World Cup is being played in Mexico this year, according to Reuters.
