Vodafone Egypt is seeking regulatory approval to have customers use its Vodafone Cash services to send remittances to Egypt, Al Mal reports. The company says it has 4 mn users of the service and is looking to expand it to include services like payroll. Al Mal also notes that the central bank has allowed mobile network operators to increase the daily limit to withdraw phone cash to EGP 3,000 a day instead of EGP 1,000 and raised the monthly limit to EGP 10,000 from EGP 5,000.
