The Transport Ministry is looking to cut the execution period for the electric train linking 10th of Ramadan to the New Administrative Capital down to 24 from 30 months, sources tell Al Masry Al Youm.The ministry is currently in talks with the consortium handling the project, which is comprised of Petrojet, Arab Contractors, and Orascom Construction. A new pricing structure is also being discussed. Transport Minister Hisham Arafat also wants to add two other companies to the group to quicken the pace of civil engineering works and see them complete in 12 months’ time, allowing Chinese partners to then begin implementing electrical works. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi already agreed with representatives of the Chinese companies to complete the project within 24 months.
