Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed economic cooperation and regional matters with Iraqi President Fuad Masum in Baghdad, according to a ministry statement. Both officials agreed that the joint Egyptian-Iraqi Supreme Council will convene for the first time in Baghdad in August. Shoukry also talked counter terrorism with Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Al Abadi, and told him during their meeting that Egypt is ready to support Iraq while it regains stability after Mosul’s liberation from the Daeshbags.
