Radio France International (RFI) aired an interview about Egypt being multinational pharma producers’ second most-preferred destination for clinical trials in Africa, according to a report published by Swiss organization Public Eye. The report said these trials raised a number of ethical concerns, saying companies coopt Egyptians into being ‘guinea pigs’ their whole life, researcher Ayman Al Sebaie says. RFIalso ran a piece about Egypt’s medication shortages.
