Borouge International taps new commercial chief

Roland Janssen is currently senior vice president for global sales and marketing

Borouge International has a new commercial chief. Roland Janssen (LinkedIn), currently senior vice president for global sales and marketing, becomes chief commercial officer, replacing Stefan Doboczky, effective 1 October, the company said (pdf). Janssen has spent more than a decade at Borealis and Borouge, with stints across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.

BACKGROUND- The move follows the formation of Borouge Group International — a USD 60 bn platform combining Borouge, Borealis, and Nova Chemicals — in April, after their merger was completed. The platform is headquartered in Vienna, with a regional base in Abu Dhabi. Borouge itself remains separately listed on the ADX for now; it will convert into Borouge International shares once a planned tender offer completes, expected in 2027, subject to UAE Capital Market Authority approval.
