Azura manages USD 1.5 bn in assets in Dubai

Azura appoints new partner for Dubai office: UK-based wealth management firm Azura made the former head of financial institutions-banking in the Middle East at Barclays, Hazem Shish (LinkedIn), partner in the company’s strategic opportunities team in Dubai, Bloomberg reports, citing a company statement. Shish will work alongside Azura Founder and Chairman Ali Jamal, with a focus on private investments and advisory in Europe and the Middle East and Africa, Shish said on LinkedIn.

Shish has over a decade of experience at Barclays overseeing relationships with sovereign wealth funds like Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Mubadala Investment, before he set up his advisory firm, Revam, and a blockchain-focused asset management firm.
