GCS to continue to operate Shuaiba terminal: Kuwait-based Agility subsidiary and port operator Global Clearinghouse Systems (GCS) was awarded a maintenance and operations contract for Shuaiba Container Terminal by Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA), according to a statement.

Background: This marks the second time GCS has taken the contract for Shuaiba terminal which it has been operating since 2016.The company extended its Shubaiba Terminal contract with KPA for another year back in 2021.

The past eight years have seen GCS achieve some important milestones at Shuaiba: These include servicing more than 2.5k vessels and handling upwards of 2.97 mn TEUs while reducing truck turnaround time and vessel staying time at berths while boosting productivity at berths and gates.
