Eni announces new gas discovery in Western Desert

Eni has made a new gas discovery from the Faramid South exploration prospect in the Western Desert’s East Obayed concession, the company announced on Thursday (pdf). The discovery well reached the target depth of 17,000 feet. “The well has been opened to production delivering 25 mmscfd, confirming the potential of the East Obayed Concession.”
