The trial launch of the Egypt-Sudan electricity grid interconnection project is scheduled to begin by early 2020, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker told Hapi Journal. Electricity Ministry spokesperson Ayman Hamza had recently said that the project is expected to go live by the end of this year.
