What the markets are doing on 4 January 2026
The EGX30 fell 2.2% at today’s close on turnover of EGP 4.6 bn (15.5% below the 90-day average). Local investors were the sole net buyers. The index is down 2.2% YTD. In the green: Egypt Aluminum (+7.4%), Misr Cement (+6.4%), and Raya Holding (+4.1%). In the red: Orascom Development (-5.3%), E-finance (-4.5%), and Fawry (-3.8%).
