Death of poor Egyptian workers crossing into Libya for work tops coverage of Egypt in the foreign press

A report on death of 22 Egyptian workers while trying to cross the border into Libya for the promise of work by Reuterswas the most widely picked up story on Egypt in the foreign press this morning. “Many of them came from villages in Minya...where residents say poverty and unemployment have been driving villagers to put their lives at risk to find work of any kind, even if it means contending with the lawless chaos of Libya's civil war,” the report says.
