?EAT THIS TONIGHT-
We know a good bagel when we see one. Nude Bakery recently released a line of bagels and we can confirm that they should not be missed.
Choose your protein. Alongside the bakery’s own turkey melt and lox salmon bagels, they’ve also released two roast beef bagels in collaboration with food blogger Mahmoud El Adany. Is the menu not scratching your itch? You can also customize your own bagel to mix and match as many (or as few) components as you’d like.
The good stuff: We went for the turkey melt bagel and the truffle onion jam roast beef bagel. We loved the freshness of the ingredients — you could tell from the crunch — and how generous the fillings were on both sandwiches. In addition to the comfort of the familiar turkey and cheese combination, the added creaminess of avocado and sourness of pickled red onion made the turkey bagel something worth writing home about.
And the truffle roast beef bagel…other bagel shops will have a hard time matching the ingenuity of this one. The creaminess of the cheddar cheese, the subtle sweetness of the onion jam, and the savory kick of the truffle garlic mayo make this one an instant fave.
Would you like a drink with that? Because they’re interesting. We just had to try their crackdrink (yup, you read that right) where they add hardened chocolate syrup to the inside of your cup. It can be added to any iced drink, and we went for matcha. Between the satisfaction of cracking the chocolate and the flavor it added to a basic staple, we would recommend you give it a whirl. Disclaimer: Treat this drink as dessert.
Pump the breaks. We’re sad to report that the bagels are currently only available at Nude Bakery’s District 5 branch, but happy to say that they’re worth the trip.
