Siemens Gamesa, German wind energy company Senvion, and Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas have been shortlisted to build Lekela’s 250 MW wind energy plant in Ras Ghareb,Lekela Egypt General Manager Faisal Eissa said. The winning company will be selected within months, Eissa said. Actis-backed Lekela had signed the power purchase agreement for the plant in February (pdf). Lekela is planning to invest USD 500 mnin building two wind energy plants with a combined production capacity of 500 MW.
