Egyptian modern pentathlon champ El Gendy wins best young player award

Egyptian modern pentathlon gold medalist Ahmed El Gendy was named the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) Best Junior Athlete in 2019 for the second consecutive year, according to Ahram Online. He snatched two gold medals earlier this year at a world cup held in Egypt, and brought home a gold medal at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
