🍴 BEEF STEW WITH PRUNE SAUCE:
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 tbsp butter
- ½ kg of beef, cubed
- ½ onion
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ tsp garlic
- 1 cup chopped mushrooms
- ¼ kg prunes
- 1 cup cooking cream
RECIPE:
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the beef cubes onto it and stir until the meat is lightly browned on all sides.
- Add the chopped onions to the pan and sautee for 2-3 minutes until they become translucent.
- Stir in the salt, pepper, and minced garlic and stir for another minute.
- Add the sliced fresh mushrooms and stir until they brown and soften.
- Stir in the prunes and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing them to soften and release their sweetness.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Then cover the pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat until the sauce thickens and the meat is cooked through.
PRO TIP: This dish is quite flavorful and best served with white rice to avoid any clashing flavors.
