EAST CAIRO:

#1- REVOLT FITNESS: Revolt is a well-rounded gym where you can experience the energy of dance with classes from Central Studio, unleash your inner fighter with Muay Thai, or build strength and flexibility through gymnastics and boxing.

WHERE: The gym has only one branch in Mar.V mall .

PRICES: A full year is EGP 22.5k, six months cost EGP 15k, three months costs EGP 10k, and a single month will set you back for EGP 5k. If you’re just testing the waters, a day pass is 500. But each membership package comes with tons of benefit that are too many to list.

#2- F45: This gym creates dynamic, team-based group workouts that combine functional training, strength, and cardio, and new weekly workouts designed to keep members motivated and challenged. You’ll never have two of the same thing.

HIGHLIGHTS: It’s less gym, more functional training — improving strength, mobility, and coordination with exercises that are similar to everyday movements.

WHERE: F45 has three branches across Cairo: O1 Mall, Westown Hub, and Golf Central Mall.

PRICES:You have two options: Pay for credits, or opt for a membership. Credits start at EGP 550 per class, or lower for each credit when you buy in bulk — 120 credits cost EGP 19.2k.

You can choose between two membership types: A standard prepaid membership, starting from EGP 5k for 1 month to EGP 33.6k for 12 months, or a lifestyle membership, which offers unlimited classes on a monthly basis for EGP 4k month by month, or EGP 21k for a six-month membership.

#3- THE MIND SPACE: This space emphasizes the importance of connection between the mind and body in a variety of mediums. They offer functional training, yoga, Pilates, martial arts, and mindfulness practices like meditation, breathwork, and nutrition guidance, all designed to help you achieve your fitness and self-development goals.

WHERE: Located in the heart of New Cairo.

PRICES: You can choose between walk-ins or membership packages. A walk-in costs EGP 350, while memberships offer better value: 1 month for EGP 2.6k with a 1 week freeze, 3 months for EGP 6.5k with a 2 week freeze, 6 months for EGP 11.5k with a 3 week freeze, or 1 year for EGP 19.8k with a 6 week freeze. For Functional Training, 10 classes are EGP 2.75k, 20 classes for EGP 5k, 30 classes for EGP 6.75k, and 50 classes for EGP 10k.

#4- SUKUN: If you’re aiming for a gentle flow, this is a wellness sanctuary that is designed to nurture both the body and mind. They offer a range of services from yoga, pilates, full body mat workouts and meditation sessions, to specialized breathwork and sound healing therapies.

WHERE: They are located inside Sun City Gardens in New Cairo, but they have also recently opened a new branch in October.

PRICES:You can choose between walk-ins or class packages. A walk-in costs EGP 400, while packages offer better value: 5 classes for EGP 1.75k valid for 1.5 months with 1 invitation, 10 classes for EGP 3.15k valid for 3 months with 2 invitations, or 20 classes for EGP 5.8k valid for 5 months with 3 invitations — these packages are for classes only.

WEST CAIRO:

#1- CORE: This gym has a midas touch, and is categorised as an ultra-luxury fitness and wellness destination. Alongside a fully equipped gym, they also provide specialized MMA training, yoga, and meditation sessions. If that doesn’t float your boat, they provide VIP training rooms for more personalized workouts and wellness-focused programs.

HIGHLIGHTS: One of their unique facilities includes Dark-Room Fitness, which holds high-intensity workout sessions.

WHERE: They were originally located in WOC, but have recently opened a newer location in New Cairo.

PRICES: The gym’s membership prices are on the heftier side with 12 months for EGP 35k, 6 months for EGP 20k, or 3 months for EGP 13k — there are no walk-ins.

#2- 3SIXTY PILATES: This studio provides a premium environment for those looking to enhance their physical strength and flexibility. Specializing in Pilates, the studio also offers yoga and dance classes.

WHERE: You can find 3SIXTY PILATES in Sheikh Zayed.

PRICES: First trial ranges from EGP 350-700 depending on the class, and walk-ins range from EGP 400-900.

As for packages: Package prices for sessions that require equipment range from EGP 2.3k for 4 sessions up to EGP 9k for 20 sessions. Sessions without equipment start from EGP 1.5k for 4 sessions and can go up to EGP 5.5k for 20 sessions. You can also book private sessions starting from EGP 3.5k for 4 sessions to EGP 8.75k for 12 sessions.

#3- EDGE FIT: A gym where they put you first — the goal is to help you reach your best potential through personalized training or classes that give you what you want. They offer a variety of classes and programs year-round, as well as detailed descriptions for each class — allowing you to know exactly what you’re signing up for and making sure you’re fully prepared for your workout experience.

WHERE: They’re located in Sheikh Zayed and Zamalek.

PRICES: Membership options include an annual membership for EGP 18.2k, offering 3 personal training sessions, 12 InBody scans, 1 nutrition session, 8 weeks freeze, and unlimited access to the gym, pool, spa, and classes. #4- SAMIA ALLOUBA: An oldie but a goodie in the Cairo fitness scene, and while it has years of experience under its belt, it still pushes to modernize itself to cater to all fitness journeys.

HIGHLIGHTS: One of their gyms is Ladies only, giving the option of privacy if preferred.

WHERE: Samia Allouba has three branches — two in Maadi and one in Zayed.

PRICES: Memberships here are flexible and packed with perks. The annual plan costs EGP 13.5k and includes personal trainer sessions, a fitness assessment, a nutrition session, 15 invitations, and family days every Saturday. For six months is EGP 7.8k, while for three months is EGP 5.5k. For shorter commitments, the one month is EGP 2.8k and comes with fitness classes included. Access to all their branches will set you back an extra EGP 2.8k.

The top three keywords in shopping for active wear are fit, comfort, and functionality. Work up a sweat with these local and regional brands.
