We started off light with the guacamole and dip. It tastes as it should — zesty and creamy with a few tomato and onion pieces thrown in, and paired with crunchy corn chips. It was the perfect palate-prepper for the rest of the meal.
Next, we had to dive into the Mexican Corn Bar. It’s a customizable bowl of corn topped with all the toppings your heart might desire. We opted to recreate a taco bowl, loading it with grilled chicken, kidney beans, pickled jalapeños, pico de gallo, and, of course, sweet, juicy corn as the base. All of that got a generous drizzle of cilantro lime mayo, which was light and tangy, similar to our dip entree. If corn isn’t your thing, don’t worry — they’ve got baked potatoes available as an alternative base.
Next, we hit the classics — burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. First up were the Birria Quesadillas, flat warm tortillas oozing with cheese and filled with rich, tender shredded beef. The meat was braised with a smoky depth and slight kicks of chili and spices that made each bite equally intense and tasty.
The Chicken Burritos followed, and they didn’t disappoint. As all burritos are, it was packed with marinated chicken, mexican rice, mixed cheese, red beans and tangy pico de gallo, drizzled with chipotle mayo and all wrapped in a soft tortilla. Each bite was a perfect balance of textures and flavors, and while a bit messy, the overall taste didn't disappoint.
Last in the lineup were the Shrimp Tacos, which brought a touch of the sea to the table. The tacos were filled to the brim with well-seasoned shrimp, shredded cabbage, diced mango, and a drizzle of chipotle mayo — all in a soft corn tortilla. The combination was a mix of sweet, tangy, and mildly spicy notes — almost a bite of oncoming summer.
But the real star of the meal was the Beef Picanha Steak. Expertly grilled where it was tender and flavorful, with a buttery richness that practically melted in our mouths. Paired with a side of Mexican rice — fluffy, fragrant, and seasoned with subtle hints of cumin and tomato — it was the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after the meal.
It’s for everyone: Whether you're a corn connoisseur or just love exploring bold Mexican flavors, this spot is worth checking out. Don’t forget, you can dine in, take away, or get your meal delivered straight to your door in New Cairo.
