? A wife who encouraged her husband… to marry another woman? Directed by Khaled Marei and written by Ayman Bahgat Kamar, El Hana El Ana Feeh is a comedic drama filled with paradoxes of marriage and the contradictions between reality and social media.
A love coach in crisis: Ahmed (Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz) is a relationship expert and social media influencer, but contrary to what he shows his fans, his personal life is full of disagreements with his wife Iman (Yasmine Raees). When Dr. Rami (Hatem Salah), Ahmed's close friend, discovers that Iman has an advanced malignant tumor and her days are numbered, she decides, driven by concern for their daughter, that the solution would be for her husband to marry her close friend Fawzia (Dina El Sherbiny) — who he was coincidentally previously in love with. But she forgets to account for her jealousy.
The dynamic between Yasmine Raees and Dina El Sherbiny is one of the most prominent elements in the movie, but the overall experience was generally disappointing. The comedy is passable, but most of the credit goes to Hatem Salah for his talent in improvisation, and comedic guest appearances by Moataz El Tony, Yasser El Tobgy, and Mohamed Otaka. This is a light watch that does not take itself seriously, and is easily enjoyable if you don’t raise your expectations too high.
WHERE TO WATCH- You can find the movie at VOX Cinemas at City Center Almaza and Mall of Egypt, Cima Arkan, Cairo Festival City, Citystars cinemas, and Point90.
