The series adopts a classic sports-docuseries format, blending archival footage with contemporary interviews. We’re introduced to McMahon’s impact on the industry through a montage of interviews featuring wrestling legends like Hulk Hogan, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and John Cena.
Although the series touches on controversies, it often frames these moments within a triumphant narrative. It celebrates McMahon’s rise while glossing over the darker aspects of his tenure, including serious allegations of misconduct. There seems to be an attempt to preemptively manage the narrative surrounding McMahon’s scandals, showcasing his accomplishments while minimizing the gravity of the allegations.
